The Hoxie Lady Mustangs hosted a volleyball match versus the Walnut Ridge Lady Bobcats Monday, September 10, 2007, at the Robert Hicks Gymnasium. The Junior Lady Mustangs defeated the Lady Bobcats with a score of 25 to 15 and 25 to 9; the Senior Girls B Team saw the Lady Mustangs defeating the Lady Bobcats with a score of 27 to 25 and 25 to 21. The Lady Mustang Senior Girls defeated the Lady Bobcats with scores of 25 to 1, 25 to 11 and 15 to 4 with the Lady Bobcats winning two out of the Best of Five Match with scores of 25 to 20 and 25 to 18.
The Hoxie Mustangs hosted a volley ball match against the Pochontas Redskins Tuesday afternoon, September 25, 2007. The Lady Mustangs 8th grade girls were defeated by the Lady Redskins with a score o 14 to 17 in favor of the Lady Redskins. The 8th grade Hoxie Lady Mustangs defeated the Lady Redskins with scores of 24 to 21 and 22 to 9. The Junior High Lady Mustangs defeated the Lady Redskins and were defeated with scores ending as 16 to 25 in favor of the Lady Redskins and 25 to 16 in favor of the Lady Mustangs. The Senior Lady Mustangs ended their match with Pocahontas Lady Mustangs with scores ending as: 25 to 9, 25 to 13 and 25 to 20.
Monday afternoon, October 8, 2007, found the Hoxie Lady Mustangs in matches against Bay Lady Yellow Jackets at the Robert Hicks Gymnasium. The 7th grade girls ended in a tie with Hoxie losing to Bay with a score of 14 to 16 and Hoxie defeating Bay with a score of 17 to 12. I was present during the Junior B Lady Mustang were warming up for their match and I received a emergency phone call and was required to leave.
