Truck Train Accident

Shortly before 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 21, 2008, a Illinois Central train struck a GMC pickup truck that had become accidently stuck on the tracks at the junction of Annie Street and Hwy 67 in front of Little's Service Station in Hoxie. The driver of the pickup saw the train approaching before being hit and wisely left the vehicle before he was involved in the accident as well.
