A Walk of Hope

Scores of people both young and young at heart met at Hoxie High School's football field for A Walk Of Hope 2006.
A Walk Of Hope was organized to celebrate life and those that have been afflicted with cancer and have survived and to memorialize those who have passed on due to cancer. Booths were set up that had items from candy sand, golf bags, chocolate cakes, balloon dart throw, mock fishing, a bounce house, soft drinks to live music with proceeds donated to the American Cancer Society. A promised walk was a leisurely four lap trek around the track surrounding the football field was completed by those wishing to do so. After everyone had their time on the track, Mrs Wheeless finalized the event with a balloon release that contained survivors as well as victim's names that had their lives touched by cancer.
