Tuesday morning, March 11, 2008, at 11:15, a major vehicle accident was averted when the driver of the pickup pulling the trailer was caught in the transport truck's blind spot as the transport truck attempted a turn and was driven into the ditch. The Walnut Ridge Volunteer Fire Department and other emergency agencies were called as well as the Greene County Sheriff's office. Luckily none of that accident's participants were not injured in the accident.
