Lake Charles State Park held a Easter Egg Hunt Saturday morning, April 7th, 2007. Many kids were in attendance and appeared to enjoy theirselves picking up the plastic eggs with the candy inside.

Lake Charles State Park, near Lynn, hosted a World War II Re-enactment Saturday afternoon, June 21, 2008. A list of WWII KIA's was read to the crowd prior to a "Swing Dance" exibition. Along with the re-enactment the participants brought their collections of weapons, field gear, hospital gear and clothing of the period to show to those who were in attendance. The re-enactment lasted close to a half hour and was loud and informative for those of us that have no experience with battle.

Saturday afternoon, December 13, 2008, following the Lynn Christmas Parade I drove through the park enjoying the solitude and the fall/winter colors.
