2009 July:
This trip was first planned around two concerts of Evgeny Kissin in Verbier, Switzerland. The concerts took place on two Sundays, so I decided to explore the area in between, and went to Chamonix Mont-Blanc in France, which is about 3 hours away by train from Verbier (photo album is located under "France"). Both sites were really enjoyable (I even encountered Tour de France in Verbier :), and both offered lots of hiking paths which was great!!

Germany
This neighbour country of Holland shows a classic beauty of Europe - stone-made buildings, half-timbered houses, rivers and streams without bank protection, and atmospheric Christmas markets!! Strolling in small streets, along rivers and in illuminated cities and towns gives such a joy!

Iceland & Greenland (2007 June)
5 albums for Iceland and 1 album for Greenland are placed under this folder. I tried to select pictures, but there are still a lot! I hope you will enjoy the Icelandic nature! (my favourite is "Landmannalaugar")

Jordan (2010 May)
After getting such good impression from Syria, I was a bit worrying about the impression I would get from Jordan, especially that of Petra, as my expectation was already quite high.
It was, however, a groundless fear - you can never be disappointed by Petra! The carved monuments into the rock are already amazing, but the nature itself is a never expected factor from the website or the pictures.
And my most favourite place in Jordan is...the Dead Sea! I fell in love with it at first sight!! :)
albums: 4

Syria (2010 May)
Country of Syria was unknown to me, therefore it was a happy surprise to see such a lot of impressive sites and well-preserved castles and ruins. This impression was enforced by the kindness of people and delicious food. It may sound contradictory, but it was extremely easy to travel around though there doesn't seem to be any system in place! (or, maybe my concept of "system" is short-sighted :)
Highly recommended country to visit!

Egypt (2008 May)
5 albums are placed under this folder.
Two week trip in Egypt showed me full range of diversities...great place to travel!

Nepal (2009 December)
The original idea was to do a trekking to Annapurna Sanctuary for 11 days. Instead, I did a shorter and easier version in the same area (Annapurna area)...it was too cold during the night!!! But still, the mountain view was stunning...:)

Colombia (2008 August)
3 albums are placed under this folder.
I was invited for a wedding ceremony of my long-lasting friend. So scared to travel alone at the beginning, but lots of individual travellers were freely traveling in Colombia...and this country has such a diversity!
albums: 3

Chile & Argentina (2006 October)
8 photo albums are under this folder. They are sorted mainly by the locations.
I reduced the photo size and resolution a bit too much - I hope you still can feel the great power of Chilean/Argentine nature!

Reminiscence of travel days (1999 April to 2000 January)
These are the pictures of my 9 month back-packing trip in Europe in 1999-2000. The quality of pictures was lowered when they were converted into digital images (originals were from negatives). Still, this gives some feelings of travelling through seasons...
