This album contains my best fire performers images. More images will be added to this album, if you are a performer please don't be disappointed if you are not in this album.

The reason these images have been chosen, because of composition, lighting, position of the performer's stance, the tool they are using, etc.

Since I am a company of one person, and editing is labor intensive, and one of the most hardest thing is selecting one's own best work and being self critical, this combination makes selecting the best image, not an easy process to do.

Photographing good images is easy, making great fire performance images is much harder.

If the image I may have taken deserves this recognition, please send me an email and it will taken under advisement, the final decision however will be retained under my discretion.

Richmond Virgina fire spinners recieve a visit from Zan, which a poi workshop was given and is one half of the Instruments of Now performer and pyronauts member at BM.

Fire performers from all over, appear on the Shiva Vista stage. The stage idea of Ryan O of Controlled Burn features four ramps, with four canon torches on each corner surrounded by ring of canons on the outer area is computer controlled.

While standing in front of the Pyronauts camp a female burner was asked to be photographed as an angel.

A few minutes later, the windstorm came and Pyronauts Pyramid fell near her, perhaps my wings protected her.

MCP was in Rochester NY originally for the 31 annual Juggle-in and we were able to meet
up at Rebecca's, in time for the celebration of Passover.

This was the first time PEX was not at PDF, fortunately for me I was invited to be part of Tim's Lund Barrel of Fun camp, enclosed are images shot from the first early evening at camp.

Thanks to the help of Christi, Lisa and of course Shirely Green for use of studio space.

More images will be added to this album in the near future.

Opening day, one of my few non-freakish images, closer to pedestrian and ritual, but similar to our burner communities from a sociological point of view.

In the end the following are results of what I shot which took about
3 hours of standing near the pavilion.

This was shot outdoors, most of the shots were under exposed by 1/3
or half a shot with two Profoto heads, one with
umbrella the other at 45 degrees from mainlight, the second flashead had 5 degree grid.

The some of the shots were photographed into my apple laptop
in order to see the results instantly and reshoot as necessary.

These are my personal selection of the pics which I consider to be technically photographically the best pics for that night. Please don't be slighted if your performance was not chosen, I chose the images, on very little ghosting effects, clear image of the foreground, clear image of the performer. I should had used my other strobe pack and plugged it into the outlet instead of using my battery powered pack.

Gang, I apologize if the images are out of order, some were shot to the laptop, others were shot to the CF card, in this album the images are sorted according to file creation time.

Too bad he didn't show us the goods...:)
