Well, I guess it was time for a change. I love my hair and have learned over the past 3 years not only 'how' to love it, but 'how' to treat it. Through that time, I've learned that for my grade of hair, little to no manipulation is best.

I made good on a lot of promises I made to myself at the beginning of this year (and definitely blew a few - but we'll talk about that later - LOL), One of the ones I definitely made good on was dealing with my own personal FEARS. Yep, Afrolady had a lot of those and a few doubts too. Anyhoo, the main thing that kept me from loc-dom was the question "What will I do when I decide that I don't want locs anymore, I'll have to cut off all my hair". That thought sent chills down my spine (at least it used to). At the end of 2008, the answer has changed to "If I ever decide that I don't want them anymore, who cares, I will just cut it off and start a new journey". PEACE Lovies!!

Here's the story, it's Mother's day 2007 and I decided that it was also going to be BAA day. So, on Saturday evening, I took out my braids that had been in for 2 months, washed, conditioned, detangled, moisturized - braided my hair, wrapped it up and went to bed. On Sunday Morning, I picked it out and here is the results. These pics were taken by my daughter after church.

My regimine is very simple. I don't buy or use a lot of products, but I've gotten a lot of questions about what I DO use. So, I took pictures of my products - hopefully this will help someone. Browsing albums and experimenting is definitely what helped me.

These are just some Random Fro pics starting on Sunday, July 29, 2007. I usually keep my hair twisted - but I wanted to play around and have some fun this month so I decided to wear my hair out more often.......I'm sure it won't last LOL!! ENJOY!!!!!!!

I put myself on my own personal twist challenge. I decided to wear twists for 6 months - just to see if I could actually last that long. Well, I lasted 8 months. This month, I decided that I missed wearing puffs and fros, so I took my twists out and here we are.
