Growth Tracker
This is the photo that I will be using to track my growth for 2009 and on. I am trying to get to bra strap length. I will also post photos of my hair length along this journey. I have had to cut my hair several times, due to stupid mistakes that I made, but that's all in the past. This is my new beginning. My routine is simple. I have recently dyed my hair (that was a mini disaster) but now I am back on track. I "no poo" every other day in the summer while my hair is in twists or braids. Moisture is my key to retention. I use a water based moisturizer after no pooing, then follow up with my leave in that includes castor oil, peppermint eo, tea tree eo (helps with any itching :) ) and others for scent. I also use a homemade oil, based in shea butter and coconut oil. I have gone back to the basics, and this has really helped. I also keep my twists or braids in for 3-5 weeks at a time. This helps in that I am not constantly handling my hair. I hope to be at bra strap length my my birthday in Dec.2009. My next goal will be to maintain it, while my layers catch up with the back. Many blessings to you all and thanks for visiting!

Well, it's finally starting to come together. J FINALLY proposed and our wedding planning is under way. Here's some of the photos from the engagement photo shoot that was taken from our photographer. She's great! Her name is Ann Bowen, in NE Oh. If you are interested in getting more info on her services, just shoot me an e-mail and I can get you in touch with her. She's very professional, funny and made this initial experience very comfy for us both!

REPAIRING THE DAMAGE
I think this was from too tight braids, back to back for so long. I found a pic from when I was 18, before one of my first and last perms. It seems that my hair line was just fine. Back then I knew nothing about transitioning, so I just braided up my hair

TRUE TEXTURE
These are shots of my wet texture. As I am sure you all know, as your hair grows, the curls seem to loosen due to the weight. For me, it's a pain, b/c that means in certain sections of my hair, I have to keep retwisting. I noticed this many years ago when
