Reference pictures of the Cosworth Powered Delu Chassis Midget 01 campaigned by Art Laski and driven by the top drivers of the era, including Jimmy Sills, Jeff Heywood, Bubby Jones, Rip Williams, Hank Butcher, Jon Rahe, Jack Hawley, Billy Bowers, Ron Horton, Tomy Enea, Buster Venard and Ken Nichols.

The pictures in this album represent an almost stock build of the Monogram Brad Doty #18 Sprint Car, issued sometime around 1987 or '88. While the intent was to build the model as stock, there were some enhancements made to attempt to improve some of the shortcomings of the kit, as well as my own modeling skills. They are as follows:

Sanded off TM logos on bottom of frame
rounded off tubes that had flat sides that should be round
Puttied some frame joints
Replaced top cage tube with round tube
Sanded off firewall engraved wiring
Added guage wires
Added Rear wingnuts
Drilled out holes in the Centerline wheels, including axle
Opened up exhaust pipe ends
Stripped all kit chrome and sprayed with Alclad Chrome or Polished Aluminum
Added wing struts
Replaced Oil lines with Pro Tech braided line
Filled in oil filter, cut it from bracket, painted it and glued it back together
Added Detail Master seat belt hardware and ribbon belts
Flocked seat
Used Testors Metalizers
Resin cast radiator
