Butterfly World, Coconut Creek, Florida

Opened in 1988, it is the first showplace of its kind in the Western Hemisphere and largest butterfly educational and breeding facility in the world.This exquisite Tropical Garden is encompassed by four large screened aviaries, a sanctuary for thousands of butterflies representing dozens of species. Inside you will find waterfalls, ponds filled with colorful fish, a flowering basket walk, cases of pupae with new butterflies emerging, breathtaking orchids and more live butterflies than have ever been assembled in one place in the U.S.

    I think you might remember a conversation we had sometime earlier about being able to capture beauty and preserve it for eternity. Your pictures truly do that, I believe, but more as well. It's more than just a pretty bunch of flowers. Perhaps it is a byproduct of my own eccentric being, but when I see this, I see each pink flower as a little shooting star in green space. I am impressed and I am left speechless.

    Too amazing for words, really. I hate commenting because words are so shallow, but your work deserves praise and nothing less than that. I love the contrast between the blue and black in the butterfly.
