Ice caves on Apostle Islands, Lake Superior, Wisconsin. Water flows through and over sandstone cliffs on shoreline of Lake Superior forming ice structures at the Apostle Islands in Wisconsin. Every several years, Lake Superior freezes allowing visitors and photographers to view the ice caves formed. The rock detail is incredible here. Warm and cool colors, scale, interest...this is one of my favorite. I especially like the photographer and tripod.

Kim wanted to go up and photograph these when we were in MN over Christmas -- she's going to be green with envy.  Amazing photography.
