My regimen is in my journals.....

This is just to document mt excessive breakage and subsequent hair cut to neck length from nearly Mid-back.
I was keeping my hair in a protective style of 6 cornrows braided with kanekalon. I was washing 3x a week with cheapie consdishes, but left the braids in for too long at six weeks.
I also had work stress etc and was 16 weeks post, so my thick roots (thanks to Megatek) caused a lot of tangles and split ends on the take down.
I asked my bff to cut all the damaged ends off and I ended up with neck length. I was actually so mad that I wanted to bc to the afro, but she persuaded me to just cut the damage off.
I will just relax in 2 weeks and no more long stretches or cornrows for more than two weeks at a time for me.

I started another waistlength challenge on the blackhairmedia forums after failing to reach my goal in the 2008 challenge.

I will be documenting my progress over the year in here.

My regimen is:

-Minimal or no heat (apart from every 6 months after a relaxer

-Use ayuervedic/growth oil on hair every two days

-Constant protective styling (sew-in weave/ sewed on half-wig/ up dos or braided styles)

-Deep condtion after every wash or co-wash

-Aphogee protein treatment after every 6-8 weeks

-Moisturise hair with s-curl spray every other day

-Use Profectiv healthy-ends on edges daily

-Use Profectiv Breakfree as needed on hair

Anything else I remember I'll add on later!

I have decided to put all my comparison pix in here like other people have done on their fotkis!

I have put pix in here of how my new growth looks during my 6 month stretches! If you thought you hair was coarse then think again!!

I am 4b relaxed and more than anything the purpose of putting these here is to give inspiration to the nappy headed who think the can't achieve longer hair. To quote the amazing Centeredgirl I say 'oh yes we can' grow our 4b hair relaxed or natural!
