The beautiful songbird I met today. This is for my great friend Ayyad.

It's amazing how many different birds you see sometimes. These were all taken on the same day.

These are some of the bird pictures I have taken since last summer. The vast majority were taken in my garden, and as I have more blackbirds than any other species, a lot of the pictures are of them. I will add to this album as I take more pictures, I hope you enjoy seeing them as much as I enjoyed taking them.

Living in the country has its benefits.

I just spent an hour or so in the garden...it's a great way to unwind on a gorgeous sunny day. I shared my time with one of the beautiful bluetits that are nesting here, also two mallard that pop in for a snack and a drink. The blossom on my pear tree and cherry tree were well worth a picture or two also. Days like this are just so sublime.

Having won the ACDSee prize, I thought I'd have a go with it. It's something I'm sure I'll try again, but to be honest I'm not that clever with it so far! These are the pictures without technology!

The baby thrushes are doing very well already.....only three in this brood I think, but as it's the first of the year that's a good number.

The strangest bird I ever saw has arrived in my garden. It's a very young sparrow that is almost white, not an albino though because it has dark eyes.

One of the best places in the UK to see numerous exotic wildfowl. I just wish I knew the names of all the birds! I will add descriptions in the very near future.
