Here's somes modifications I made to my Rock Band Fender Precision Bass (wired for 360)
-OEM strum springs were too stiff and would cause fatigue to finger after a while; so they were replaced with ball-point "click-click" pen springs and now the strum resistance is just fine. Thank you Doc_SoCal :-)
-I found the overdrive tilt sensor would activate at a an angle too low for me (I like to hold the bass during normal play at 30-45°). Unfortunatly, the PCB design does'nt allow tilt switch to be angled more so I removed them and weld a single mercury switch backward that would trigger at around 60-75° and that would better suit my play style.
-Almost after 1 year of not-so-heavy-duty usage, upper index finger strum microswitch broke. I had to un-weld the OEM microswitch from the PCB, find an equivalent on the WEB and weld the new part on the PCB to resolve the problem. www.digikey.com - P/N: 401-1745-ND
