My Products!

I finally got the products I plan to stick to (hopefully!)

*****Update 3/18/08: so now I use ORS Hair Mayo as my prepoo (thanks Macherieamour!). It works like a dream for my hair! I'm also itching to try the Lacio Lacio for my leave-in when I do my rollersets. I still don't know if I want to try that or the Salerm 21. Checking the boards makes me more confused lol!

Prepoo: ORS Hair Mayo (protein)

Wash: Keracare Hydrating Detangling Shampoo & Suave Clarifying Shampoo

Conditioner: ORS Replenishing (moisture)

Protein: Profectiv Breakfree & Healthy Ends, Aphogee Treatment for Damaged Hair, Aphogee Intensive Keratin Reconstructor

Moisturizers: Hawaiian Silky 14 in 1

Seal: Castor Oil

Growth Aid: My Sulfur Mix

Heat Protector: Fantasia Frizz Buster Silky Smooth Straightening Creme

Relaxer: Creme of Nature Nourishing No-Lye Relaxer with Sunflower and Organic Coconut Oils (new)

**UPDATE 2/24/08*** I'm going to be using 3 teaspoons (1 tablespoon) of sulfur in my mix from now on

**UPDATE 2/13/08** Again, I can't exactly tell if I have all this crazy new growth from my mix because I already had a lot when I started using the mix. BUT, these oils make my new growth INSANELY soft! I really can't believe it. It's not dry and tight, it's super soft and the sulfur makes my new growth a lot straighter than before too! I think I'll be able to tell a growth difference after I retouch so I can get a fresh start!

Sulfur Mix: I just started using this on 1/31

I got the recipe from Bublin on LHCF (thanks!)

Half a bottle of Wild Growth Hair Oil
2 teaspoons of sulfur powder.
fill the rest of bottle up with Jojoba Oil.

She let hers sit for 2 days; but I used a blender and used it the same day. It's important to shake VERY WELL before using because the sulfur settles. WGO and sulfur have a relatively strong smell. But from what I've heard from people who use MTG, the smell of my mix isn't as strong. The smell doesn't bother me. I use my mix at night and I don't detect a smell the next morning.

The sulfur is Yellow Sulfur aka Sulfur Sublimed aka Flowers of Sulfur

This is an alternative to Shapley's MTG which I never tried

    where do I get sulfur?

I got mine from Walgreens (which seemed to be the only place to sell it near me) 340g/12oz for $14, they had to order it for me and I couldn't get a smaller size. I was tired of looking and just bought it. Others on LHCF got theirs from places like CVS and Walmart in smaller quantities from $3-$5.
