1954 Chevy Corvette Nomad Motorama Concept Car Recereation
A few years ago, at the weekly Saturday morning Cars and Coffee show at the Mazda and Ford (now Taco Bell too) campus in Irvine, California I thought my eyes were deceiving me when I encountered what looked like the 1954 Chevy Corvette Nomad 1954 Motorama concept car. Thinking that the Harley Earl-designed Chevy Corvette Nomad had been crushed, I had to take a closer look. It was, as the photos here clearly show, an excellent recreation of the historic concept car, but one running a modern Corvette fuel injected LT1 V8 driving the rear wheel through a six-speed automatic overdrive transmission. Best of all, this particular Chevy Corvette Nomad a driver as owner John Bolstad has no problem driving it between his homes in Idaho and Southern California.
