In 1964 John DeLorean, Jim Wangers, and Pontiac invented the iconic American muscle car with the introduction of the first Pontiac LeMans GTO. The Pontiac GTO legend was forged when it was compared to the Ferrari GTO. Throughout the sixties the Pontiac GTO got more powerful and remained at the top of the muscle car pyramid. This 1970 Pontiac GTO 455 H.O. is a reference restoration by Phil LaChapellE of Ventura, California's Automobile Classics and Musclecars and is faithful right down to the chalk marks on the firewall and the original Goodyear spare tire residing in the trunk.
