I had decided to stop relaxing my hair in May 2006. I had my hair pressed for about 4 months(new growth only) and then in Dec 2006, I had the relaxed ends chopped off. I wore comb coils for the next couple of months. I recently got back into working out religiously! And I wanted to wear my hair straightened. Well working out and a press don't go together so I made a huge decision and decided to get a relaxer. I figured that the time that my hair spent resting with no chemical was a good idea...and now all of the things I picked up from the hair boards about taking care of my natural hair, I will use to make my "new" relaxed hair grow long and strong!

These are some of the products that I am using to start my journey. Some are recommended by my new stylist. Others are things that I have seen online in the hair boards. We shall see how I like them.

I am trying to grow my hair to APL! I don't think I will hit it by year end as planned...maybe by Spring or Summer of 2010. I am going to try to document that progress as best as possible
