some recent pics, some w gf regular co as leavein, some with boots white or pink curl cream. seems the results are same with certain products, styling and drying system makes more difference.
i've been using jessicurl tooshea as deep co while swimming, as a leavein it makes my hair greasy but it is fabulous protecting my hair from chlorine. i put a cap on and swim for 32 min.
i have a new puppy, rescue mix breed, theo is 3 months old and loves to hike!

here is a series of pics starting from shampooing pre-color to hair after shampooing and brushing with no conditioner on it. then i color it and plop. airdry, plop overnight un turban. then the day after that i wake up with one of my best hair days ever.

i went to Debbie at hair 166. she did a great job both cutting and styling. anyone in rockland or north jersey who is tired of having to go to NYC should try her. small salon, low key, friendly. i showed her the curly composite and she said it was helpful to see my hair in many forms

i shampooed my hair pre-color, combed it out wet to see the length. the others are morning pics after coloring and plopping overnight. i distract myself from my terror of surgery by taking hair pictures. at least i am having a good hair day...

my hair is getting longer and i am still using the garnier fructis CO's as leaveins. these pics are after plopping overnight with damp hair--that is when it is curliest. i have pics from my 40th HS reunion and from my latest shampoo-brush hair horror when i colored the roots.

using whatever garnier fructis CO i find--from may 6 is plop overnight still wet, may 15 is the night before, then morning plop overnight DRY

used devacare one C alone-plop overnight-best hair day for a while--had 2 in a row

Alex and I visit Carlos at the new Devachan on Broome st. this is Alex's first visit to Devachan and she is thrilled. i meet Lorraine briefly. We meet Self Curled girl for dinner. Great day despite the wintrymix!!

a lot depends on luck too with the styling and how it dries. overnight plopping gives tightest curls.

our holiday greeting card and some new hair product combinations. last haircut was 2/25/06 and next one will be 2/13/06. it is 10 months without a cut so the ends are getting a bit thin. i am thinking to get a bit more layering at my next deva cut as long as i can still put it all up in a ponytail. i used boots white cream alone in a few photos

on a hiking trip in the white mts of new hampshire, i last wet my hair on wed aug 23. it has been cold up there and in campgrounds the showers cost 25cts for 2 min and by the time i get back it is dark and cold, so i am home now and on my 5th or 6th day without wetting my hair at all. i get halo frizz and it is a little ratty but overall i am surprised that it is not so bad. I wore it in a braided pineapple while hiking and under a hat when raining.

summer hair--it is growing and the routine gets simpler, just leave in devacurl or devacare after co-washing either in lake or shower. in shower i use the honey-co and then rinse out before using leavin. i use gel sometimes but not every day

usual routine mon nite--co wash, boots, CK, gel, plop, pineapple--woke up w great hair tues morning 726-after lake swim put ORS loc and twist, hair was good still, woke up wed 727, hair good, swam again in lake, put in boots white stuff, hair is still good and really curly! feel very lucky to have easy routine.
