I have a tree in my backyard... decided why not! I've tried the avocado (mixed with mayonnaise and baking soda) my hair was LOVING IT. It was soooooo soft.
I have not decided to try it with just the avocado because of how great it was with the other things mixed in.
Might not do wonders for everyone, but you should try it! I'm sure you'll update us on how your hair took it.
----------------------
Oops I did try an avocado treatment but I forgot to come back here and say how it went! =) I will update the info. Avocado and mayonaise eh? hmm sounds really good...worth a try!
excuse my ignorance, but how much do you add of each?
-----------------
no problem at all my dear, we are all learning here, don't you worry, ask any questions you want =) I usually kind of eyeball my ingredients but to approximate, when i mix all the carrier oils (olive, carrot, herbal oil) it comes up to maybe a 1/2 - 3/4 cup of oil; honey - i put about 1 tablespoon; the peppermint oil, i put in just a dash of that (if i were using a dropper maybe about 20 drops?) This is just a guestimate but I hope it helps. You can tailor the mix to suit you, sometimes i only use just olive oil, honey and peppermint. Experiment and have fun!
hey! i tried adding avocado to my dc, and it didn't do much. the avocado fibers were stuck in my hair, and it didn't do much in terms of moisturization. i prefer adding avocado oil to my dc's instead

I tried it this week straight out the jar, It worked ok but I forgot to mix in the honey and oil...I'm going to try it again next week and see how well it works that way. I may be a little biased b/c I really like the olive oil one. Oh and sally beauty supply had a sale, one jar for $1.49, girl why did I buy 10 jars (tea tea, olive oil, aloe, herbal)! :-P
------------------
10 JARS! LOL Oh my! I am so jealous, girl believe me, if i saw this on sale i would have done the same thing LOL
Please tell me how you wraped that plastic wrap on.
----------------------------
I usually do it in four pieces, cause that is easier to manage. i take 3 pieces about a foot long each, I wrap a piece across the back, then across the front then go over the top, then one last longer piece right around to hold everything together. The plastic wrap is more work than a regular plastic cap but if its done correctly its definitely less drippy in my view.
Wow, I can't believe you were having a hard time finding this.. I'm in Texas, and they sell this at just about every beauty supply here.. You can also buy online at http://texasbeautysupplycom.stores.yahoo.net/ The shipping is not that bad..
--------------------------
I know right! I keep lookin for it and I see other Elasta QP products but just not this one yet =( sigh I haven't given up yet though.
i cant live without my peppermint oil!... i put some in my hot oil treatments and also when i massage my scalp at nights.... the herbal oil and carrot oil are must haves for my hot oil treatments

Girl, I agree! Peppermint oil is the BEST for treatments, I love how it tingles when you rinse =)
