do u use the ors elastic i tea alone as a leave in and how do u like it

Firstly let me say that i love your page and all the great advice. i also mixed a spritzer bottle with 4 parts water, one part conditioner and one part olive oil. however, i found that my hair was very heavy and greasy when i took down my twists so i made up a new spritzer with much less oil and i added some glycerine as well. my hair loves this new mixture but i still have to learn not to get too carried away with my moisterizers, i always tend to put too much and it shows when i finally do the twistouts( my hair is usually always in twists!) keep up the great work!!!!

Glad you enjoyed the album! I guess in a sense it is better that you over do the moisturizers, instead of leaving your hair parched and brittle =) By the way, is it regular conditioner you use in your spray bottle or leave in conditioner?

Okay...so I made a spritz bottle, but my hair still shrank and is really greasy! How do you use the oils without getting the hair really greasy? I'm thinking I put way too much in the mixture and on my head. On the bright side...my hair is really soft : ) Sorry for the numerous questions, but I think your the first person I've seen with hair really close to mine and you also have very good tips!

Water will make your hair shrink, even when it's mixed with oils. I don't fight shrinkage, it's what our hair does. =) Spraying my hair makes it shrink too but it makes it feel so good, it's worth it!
Maybe you put a bit too much of the oils in the mix, tweak with the mixture a bit more and see. There's no wrong or right formula. It's all about experimenting to see what your hair likes; trial and error! Do small batches till you get a batch u like and stick with those proportions =) Happy mixing!

I think your hair is very similar to mine. But any little drip of water on my hair shrinks it causing me to lose length I gained from stretching with braiding or rubber-banding. It is also very drying to my hair. I was wondering what else you could suggest for moisturizing because I think this is a major problem of mine (not giving my hair enough moisturizing).

My hair also loves Shea Butter, maybe you can try mixing some up with some oils that works well for keeping my hair moisturized.
