nd we were treated to double rainbows! Gorgeous. Monday morning, we got up early and headed to GNP. It was dark and dreary, real cloudy. We headed up Going to the Sun road and had heavy fog until we got past Logan Pass. A half-mile past Logan Pass, the clouds disappeared and the sun came out. It was amazing! The lakes and mountains were breathtaking and I took way too many pictures! We went as far as Saint Mary Visitor Center before returning. It was a long trip with all the road construction, but a fun day.

ake, and Kintla Lake. It took us about 4 hours to drive the road. We encountered a large red-tail hawk, a white-tailed doe, a young coyote, some ground squirrels, more chipmunks, and ptarmigans. The lakes were beautiful but the views were a bit hazy due to Canadian forest fire smoke heading down the mountains.

inted with the animals. No bison near us, did get some antelope and a few birds. Also got a few pics of the lake, and then some more of the raccoons at home.

o Big Horn sheep at the pass. They were awesome! Also some white-tail deer, chipmunks, and squirrels. Other sights in the woods were a huge 10-pointer, a grouse, and more ptarmigans.

houses...uh, mansions. A really nice area. When we got finished there, we headed back up toward GNP and went up to Moose Lake. It was a very long ride and not much going on. The area was part that was devastated by the forest fires several years ago and is still recovering. The lake was gorgeous, but there were people camping there and we were not able to get down to take pictures.

While looking for something else I found a batch of pics from the first day that I had never processed.
