The 50th Annual La Jolla Christmas Parade & Holiday Festival. Community donations finance the parade. Volunteers organize and staff the parade. The committee co-ordinates with the YMCA, Rotary, Toastmasters, La Jolla Recreation Center, Promote La Jolla, and Kiwanis in continuing the holiday traditions of those organizations. In the selection of its parade marshals the committee emphasizes values of education, philanthropy, culture, and service, by honoring local citizens of achievement.

The 2007 Vista Christmas Parade taken on Saturday, December 1st. The parade theme was "All Aboard the Vista Express," in honor of debut of the Sprinter commuter train in Vista and North County in late December.

The 20th annual San Diego County Veterans Day Parade was held on Saturday, November 11, 2006. This years parade theme was "America's Women Veterans, Our Secret Weapon" and the Honorary Grand Marshals were “All Women Veterans”. San Diego Mustang Club members Blane and Nancy Evans, Billy Bruner, Pat Sweeney, and Mike Kropp supported the 2006 San Diego Veterans Day Parade Committee by volunteering the use their convertibles to transport Dignitaries in the Parade. The club members transported veteran survivors of the Chison Reservoir battle, the “Chosin Few”, which occurred 1950 in North Korea, and veterans of the Waves National Unit 36.
