The Charlie Daniels Band performs a concert prior to the Craftsman NASCAR Truck race at the Kentucky Speedway. The concert was 90 minutes of bliss for an old fan. Charlie may be pushing 70 but he is surely still pushng his blend of country and rock n' roll.

The SNU football team traveled to Los Angeles, California to play Azusa Pacific on their home turf. Unfortunately the outcome of the game was not what we desired but the trip was a nice one. It was my first time to visit California and my first flight since my spinal stroke. Angelic help and wonderful people from SkyBus made this a very positive experience despite the inconvenience of my power wheelchair.

All photos have now been posted. It was a real treat to see this week's game in person. Beyond football the excitement of the game and the Langston band made it even more fun. I'm afraid I'll soon be labeled a jinx however since SNU has come up on the losing end of every game I've been privileged to attend.

Fairly lousy photos, sorry guys, I'll do better next time. SNU won this game 16-9. With this victory dies the Underwood curse. We can attend games now guilt free!
