During the Civil War, Lincoln would spend the night at this cottage and ride (alone!) in to the White House during the day.

It was a fun trip. Tad Lincoln had peacocks and a goat. Lincoln kept papers in his hat. And he only ate one egg and drank coffee for breakfast!
