Blast from the past

Dad and his friends at the steel mill

He's 2nd from the left. It enrages me to see the waves of anti-union sentiment spreading across the US. He started working at the mill when the war ended and was injured in a really bad explosion. He was in intensive care for weeks. If it hadn't have been for the union and the support of his union buddies, my mom would've been in such desperation. He finally retired in the mid 80's after working there for 40 years. I never in my whole 44 years on this earth would ever have thought we'd be living in a time where "union" has become a hated word. It's just bat-shit insane.
