Comic World Taipei and Fantasy Frontier. Feb. 4-5, 2006. National Taiwan University. These are the "family" shots from the cosplay (all of the shots are in other albums). Kaye went as Satsuke from Naruto and Susan Oscar came up from Taichung to play Sakura from Naruto. Lorraine made the costumes (including a Naruto for Gareth Cheng who did not attend this one) and I did the bigass weapon. These 3D stereographic images were taken with a Sony V3 twin rig with a LANC Shepherd Pro on a vertical mount then batch processed in Anabuilder (some shots have quite a bit of vertical misalignment). They are presented in parallel format. Unlike most of my albums, I have resized these images for upload to the web for conveninece in upload and viewing as the V3 twin rig results in images that are often well over ten megabytes in size.

Comic World Taipei 8. Dec. 12, 2004. National Taiwan University. Attendance was down because the convention corresponded with elections here so a lot of folks who normally would have come were out of Taipei so they could be in their home towns to vote. Kaye and Gareth went in Quiditch uniforms from Harry Potter that Lorraine picked up in Paris during a business trip to Cannes. The images in this album were taken by me with my Canon Digital Rebel and the Loreo 3D-Lens-in-a-Cap attachment. I batch processed the images that survived with Anabuilder.

Comic World Taipei 6 and Fantasy Frontier 3 had their exhibition dates at the same time Jan. 31 to Feb. 1, 2004. Since both conventions were held at National Taiwan University, this was probably intended. There seemed to be a lot more photographers than cosplayers this time around but the NTU campus is beautiful. The images in this album were taken by me with my Canon Digital Rebel and the Loreo 3D-Lens-in-a-Cap attachment.

Comic World Taipei 5. This Cosplay event was held at National Taiwan University in Taipei. These images were taken with a Loreo Mark II stereocamera. These are scans from the negatives. Kaye went as Hermione Granger from Harry Potter while her best friend, Gareth Cheng, went as Harry. As always, I went as myself - fat guy with camera - although you will note that many of the folks dressed in Harry Potter gear assume I'm going as Hagrid while the Lord of the Rings folks all assume I'm going as Peter Jackson. Actually, I have been asked for my autograph by folks who for some odd reason think the real Peter Jackson would just happen to go to a cosplay event in Taipei.
