I AM FROM THE ARIZONA-SONORA DESSERT,NEAR MEXICAN BORDER, IN U.S. PRETTY CACTUS FLOWERS! BUT I DIDN'T SEE ANY SAHUARO CACTUS BLOSSOMS-OUR ARIZONA STATE FLOWER. ALSO-I JUST PURCHASED A RARE MADAGASCAR PACHYPODIUM ROSULATUM. IT LOOKS LIKE IT IS DYING IN THIS HORRIBLE HEAT?? I AM WORRIED AND WANT TO TAKE IT INSIDE OR ON A SHADED PORCH. ANY SUGGESTIONS?-NOW LIVING IN KANSAS AND IT'S 108 DEGREES F OUTSIDE WITH 80% HUMIDITY.-LA SENORA SHARON. CONFIDENTIALTAX@HOTMAIL.COM.

Leroy, I believe the species name is foetida (for the bad smelling flowers) not faetida.

Thanks for a lovely webpage. The photography is terrific!

I believe I have a caralluma faetida growing in a pot in my house. The only differences I can see from your photo and my plant is that the plants seem to be a bit smoother... and the plant is now about 8 feet tall.

I would like to know more about this plant. Can you direct me to a source please?

Thank you
