the Weekend Warrior

A few pics of the weekend warrior Willys as it went along. "Earl" and I wrenched this car from a SW&C drag model kit and it was not only my first "mod/bash" attempt, but also a dam blast to do! And believe it or not, it took 1st place and best in automotive at the Pittsburgh Hobbytown Spring '07 Show! Tried to give it that "made-in-the-backyard on a shoestring budget" look. A builder friend suggested calling the project "Lookin' for a Sponsor" so it stuck! The 55 Ford pickup that will haul this car to the track was my first "truck" attempt so kept my fingers crossed throughout but it turned out a-ok I guess.
