I agree with Smileatu; the DOF around the redish pink whatever-it-is is nice. It helps isolate the blooms, or leaves... whatever they are. (Now you know; I don't know my botany very well.) The window and lines of the siding give a lot of muscle to this picture.
This one slapped a grin on my face when I saw how the spray shape of the flowers and leaves are framed in a nearly square parallelogram. Great lines in this shot.
Superior! Normally I'd have a problem with the washed out "hot" area along the bottom, but somehow in this image it doesn't concern me. Maybe it's because of the way its shape works with the patterns above it. Your composition gets and A+ from me and the greens are captivating.
Excellent DOF in this portrait. I'm assuming you were further back and cropped the pic. If so, it was good thinking. If your camera has a strong lens and or enough megapixels, you don't always have to be nose to nose with a subject to get good results. This is especially true when you need more depth of field as you have here. The dog's curious expression is good for a grin. Isn't it neat how the tan ears and beige face and body work so well together? And one more thing. I've said this on lots of people's pix: I really like blues and browns together. Personal, you know. Personal. LOL
