Just a shot fromt he other side with it all bolted up.

A shot of the linkage attached to the brackets after they were all welded up. Now I just need to add the little triangular braces and I'll be all done.

Once it was tack welded on I took the bolt out. I had to take the bottom bolt off the kickstand and slide it over cause it was in the way. It took a whole 2 seconds to do this.

Once I had this side to where it fit nicely, i put the bolt through and slid it up into place, then I pushed the bolt so it went all the way through the other bracket and the whole thing was held up in place. Then I just tack welded the bracked...one tack up front, one in the back.

I put the bolt through this side to hold the linkage in place, then I checked the other side to make sure it lined up and grinded as needed till it lined up good with the hole. This way both sides are perfectly in line and the bolt will go through nicely without binding.

    Close up of my weld.

This is the first bracket all welded in. I welded both sides just to be extra secure. Not a bad weld, but the chicken shiit splatter is from the flux core wire.

I used a jack stand to hold the linkage up in place, then put the bolt through the bracket to hold it in place and then tack welded it on.

Heres how it goes on. The two triangular pieces go where the lines are.

This is the cardboard cut template I made. The round bracket gets welded to the frame kind of like the old centerstand brackets. The hole is where the bolt for the linkage goes. The triangle is just a brace, there are two of them.

The other side, nice and clean.

Just another shot before I ground off that other bracket so you can see whats going on a little better.

Here I have both the cender stand brackets, and the little J shaped thing ground off. I decided to knock off this bracket too.

Theres a little J shaped hook thing that is on there as well. I decided to knock that off too.

Heres the bracked snapped off and whats left ont he frame. Pretty easy to grind that down.

Heres the first weld groudn trhough. Once you get rid of this one, you can start bending the bracked from side to side. But you have to grind down the other weld as much as possible first if you expect it to break off.

I used my angle grinder to cut these off. I tried using the sawzall, but it just wasnt cutting worth a damn. So I ground through the welds as much as I could, then just used a tire iron as a pry bar to bend it back and forth till it snapped off. Then I ground down the little bit of weld remaining.

Ok, I took a lot of shots with it on cause I was excited. The back is up on a jackstand, until I can get the dogbone bolted in.
