Wow...I can't believe a year has come and gone!!!.. I've learned so much about my hair and how to give it what it needs... My growth was very good this year, about 1/2" of growth a month!!..I started out with aobut 2 to 3 inches of hair back in Oct. 08, Im at 7.5 to 9 " of hair throughout my head!!.. Just thought Id show off a few photos of what's going on with my hair....No new regimens to share..only one new product Ive been using...Natural Oasis Hair and Scalp Conditioner by essentialbalms.com...THis is a very moisturizing hair conditioner and my hair loves it when Im doing twists or refreshing my wash n go's.

Hi Guys!... So here are some updates...I am putting my hair on a small hiatus..well at least till Summer. I've decided to do a protective style challenge for myself until June 2010. My protective style will be two strand twist and maybe I will sneak in a three strand twist or two since Ive finally learned how to do it.

My regimen for this protective style is to keep my twist in for one month at a time; doing a wash, deep condition and detangle at the end of the month and put my hair back in twist...

My product regimen will be to use any of the many Poo & Cond I already have,,,I will NOT be doing some Huge Haul..I have plenty of products already. However, I have found new product that have really been keeping my twist from unraveling and I am HAPPY about that!
After a poo and deep condition: I will still use my Hydratherma Naturals Follicle Invigorator, Protein Balance Leave In and Growth Lotion as my first day wash n go. I do my twist on Dry Hair because it works better for me.

After the 1st day I will use Fleurtzy's Curl Nurture Cream to do my two strand twist Followed by KBB's Hair Cream to seal in the moisture. I love this product bc although its a cream texture when you first take it out..once you rub your hands together it turns into an oil...

I have been alternating days of re applying the CNC on my twist and at the ends...keeping the ends very moisturized and still following with KBB. Normally, after day 3 or 4, my twist begin to unravel all over the place...using the CNC I have doubled the time (8 days) when only SOME, Im talking two or three begin to unravel..this is a BIG DEAL TO ME!!.. I could never go more than 4 days of twists w/o having to do a twist out!


Night Routine: I add some CNC and KBB then I have been doing a kind of wrap on my twist by bobby pinning the hair and clipping it down...this leaves the twist from looking fuzzy and 'unkept'. Int he morning they just fall lovely. However, bc of the texture of my hair, when I shower, I allow my hair to be dampened by the steam and mist of the shower, NOT saturtaing or 'wetting' my hair just dampen it which makes my twist fluff up and give shape!!... I am really loving the results thusfar!

I started this regimen March 1st.

Goals for the Protective Challenge:
To acheive at least an inch of growth a month. My average has been 1/4 to 1/2.
