Our agency has used them, and they work pretty well and have been pretty reliable as well. They navigate our narrow alley ways in our city during pursuits. The new Impalas are faster than the current Police Intercepter sedan.

I agree, the Impala is a throw away car which self destructs in less than a year of service, including not only mechanicals but the interior fall apart. I will take a tried and true Crown Vic any moment over the bean counters loving Impala!

"Looks alot better than the 'haven't changed their style since 98' Crown Yicks"

It's obvious that you've never driven either car. Styling and looks are not what makes a good police vehicle. Durability and functionality are a little higher up the ladder than looking pretty.
