Actually it's a 66. The only dif is the 67 had turn signal on the bumper and double headlamps...

We changed it. Thanks for pointing that out.

This is a 66 Ford Custom, not a 65. The front reds are steady burn. The siren is a C4B Federal Mechanical type.

Are the red lights steady burn or flashing and is the siren mechanical or early electronic? Thanks!

Jeff- Seen your Fury at Ripon over the years and is one of my favorites. Did NHP ever use 73 Polara's?

These look a lot better than the Mustangs-as police cars at least.

First Dodge Diplomat's (circa 1987) that got wig-wag headlights. I remember people never saw the overhead light bar, but boy they got out of the way when the wig-wags were going!

This Dodge Diplomat (with chrome delete) was just like my first squad car when I joined Oceanside Police (California) in 1985. Never let me down and always delivered me safely to my calls, like all Chrysler products did in the day. Had a 318 4bbl with tan interior just like this one pictured. Only difference is mine had a Federal Twin-Sonic red & blue light bar. Use to whisle like crazy at high speeds.
When Dodge stopped making police cars, I went to traffic and ride a BMW now for the last 17 years. Few more years to go and then I'll be on the hunt for an 'ole Diplomat.

    VERY nicely executed!

a couple of bones to pick about front LED placement, but it all melts away when you look at the graphics kit. well done, good choice for the specific car....

any more info on this cruisah? is it DARE, school yard stunner, parade or RMP regular?

its a GT so its upwards of thirty for the chassis alone, plus the four grand into the twin supervisors and the other aux. LEDs (which seem to be everywhere)

not to mention the MDT, the radios, the officer junk.... expensive runner, that.
