Interestingly, the Michigan State Police still have the single red rotator beacon light adorning the roofs of their cars. They do have up-to-date cars, but they stick with old rotator. Anyone know why?

regardless ,what exact yr this cvpi is those are the latest and current hub caps on a cvpi the cvpi-p40 has the small center chrome caps oh and the rims should have circles all around it..alot like centerline rims
"Brand new" is what I was told by the retiree who sent this to me. Whether he meant that this Trooper had just received it or not, I don't know. I don't have enough space in my brain to keep minutia about what hubcap means what year.
Just to make everybody here happy, I'll remove the "brand new". Smile, it only gets worse from here on out.

Either Dave confused the years or the car was in fact new in the sense that it had not been previously driven. Over at my station, the deputies received a bunch of 2005 PIs a few months ago, and they hadn't been used before, they had just been sitting in a lot ready to be distributed to the stations. With the exception of ONE 2006 PI, those are the newest cars in the station.

Fortunately it appears the car was not occupied or the Trooper escaped injury if he was in the car. Our prayers are with the family of Officer Robert Tim Buckman who gave his life protecting the citizens during this horrific tornado. Officer Buckman is definitely a hero.

It is a 2003 to 2005 Crown Vic based on the Wheel Covers so it can't be "brand new."
In case anyone is wondering what part of Kansas Shawnee is in. It is one of the SW suburbs of Kansas City, MO.

It is the KHP's role over machine. It runs off of a generator that is in the box to the right. It goes a few times around with seat belts on and then the same thing with seat belts off. There is an adult in the driver's seat and a kid in the pasanger seat. They are both dummies. And when they leave they can fly far.
Be just like "Buster" on MythBusters!
A really bad tornado. People made it to their basements and still got killed!
