Barry Bonds Eclipse -
Another Revell 1999 Eclipse, but this one's just a little different. It was named after Barry Bonds because it's just ridiculously juiced up. Shoving a 426 HEMI into a 1999 Eclipse is kind of like Barry (Or any other athlete that has been that stupid!) stabbing a needle filled with Steroids in his butt, it's made both insanely powerful!!! It's got a shortened chassis from AMT's 1970 Super Bee Pro-Street kit, along with the suspension, rims, back tires and the 426 Hemi from the same kit, front tires from my parts box, and a turned aluminum Nitrous bottle from a friend (Thanks a million Dan!). I had to scratch-build a new driveshaft and inner fender wells, I detailed the engine with a aluminum distributor from Parts by Parks and spark plug boots from Replicas & Miniatures of Maryland. Then I finished the engine off with a low-rise intake, carbs and velocity stacks from my parts box, and threw on a PE alternator bracket from Detail Master. A new floor pan was scratch-built with Pam's help, the firewall from the Super Bee kit was cut-down to fit, and new side windows were made from Clear Styrene. I flocked the floor pan, and painted the rest of the interior with Dupli-Color interior paint. Throw in a parts box exhaust system and a wild Nail Polish paint job, some pin-striping tape to make it all look better and you've got this beast. I painted the clear hood with some Testor's Transparent Green, and called it good, enjoy the pics!

Nissan GT-R Godzilla -
This one was started by a friend of mine (Ricky) over on Scale Avenue, but he lost interest in it and I couldn't let it die, so we traded painted kits. All I did was polish it up a bit, finished the assembly, and here she sits! -

Acura Integra - Sep 13, 2006

Revell's Acura Integra, this was my first Tuner kit. Paint is Revlon nail polish, box stock except for the grille and the stripe, which came from AMT's 66 Nova Pro Street kit. A very nicely done kit, and a breeze to build. -

Toyota Celica Supra -
This one is AMT's "The Fast and the Furious" Supra kit. Nothing modified, built just to relieve stress between the 1971 Daytona and SSR customs. Added the transparent green and red on the rims to get them to stand out some more. Paint is Testors Colors By Boyd, and I can't remember the name of it to save my life. -

1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse - Jun 1, 2008
-
Revell's 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse, built as part of the "Special Edition Project" over on BMC. The SEP was a project started by the Admins and Mods to encourage builds of any kind but Muscle cars. If you were lucky enough to figure out what all the builds had in common, then you were invited to build one of your own. Since I had picked up this kit a few days earlier, and I wanted something simple, this one got built. The only modifications are to the nose piece, all molded-in grilles were removed and replaced with stainless mesh, and the kit rims were replaced with a set from Pegasus Hobbies. Beyond that, Carbon Fiber decals were applied to the window trim and door handles, and the tail light got the same treatment, not the easiest thing to do, but it came out looking good. Then I added a set of Tribal Flame decals from Revell's Acura Integra kit, and I think they complete the look nicely. Paint is Kustom Kolors "Dreamsicle" over Dupli-Color White primer, with DuPont Nason Clear over it all. Interior is basic Black with some dark Gray highlights, and that's about it. A fun little build, and a good kit, grab yourself one! -

1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse - Sep 13, 2006

AMT's "The Fast and the Furious" Mitsubishi Eclipse, box stock except for the grille. A real pain to build, don't buy this kit unless you really need to have it. Paint is Testors Colors by Boyd, I don't recall the name, and the interior color was custom mixed. -

Acura RSX -
Revell's RSX kit. It's loud, freaky looking, and I like it. This one was built with my fellow rebel Pat ( http://members.fotki.com/mnm1067/ ). Unlike our dual 2006 Mustangs, we did not swap bodies, just ideas. And the idea was the loudest, gaudiest Tuner we could come up with. After much gnashing of teeth and pulling of hair, here's the result. I painted mine using a House of Kolors Kandy Silver base, then laid out three different colors of nail polish. The top is Orly "Hawaiian Punch", the middle is Pure Ice/Frosted Ice "Hot Tamale", and the bottom is Orly "Hook Up". It's all topped with a few coats of Dupli-Color clear, then polished and decaled. The kit grilles were removed and replaced with a Stainless Steel mesh I get from Commercial Smoke Detectors (I work on Alarm Systems for a living), along with the small openings in the rear bumper. The interior is Dupli-Color "Desert Sand" Vinyl & Fabric Paint, with Tamiya X-8 Lemon Yellow highlights, and the floor pan was flocked. Engine is Model Master Metalizers (With a very light Black wash), along with the exhaust. Chassis was painted with Dupli-Color Vinyl & Fabric "Vinyl Yellow", and various shades of Black. -

Honda Civic - May 23, 2010
-
Here's Revell's great Honda Civic kit, the only problems with this kit are the rear bumper/fascia (It just doesn't fit well) and the glass, it pushes the interior down, and keeps the chassis from sitting inside the body right, making the rear bumper fit even worse. But it's all fixable, and this is a rebuild of this one. I did a great job on the engine detailing the first time out, but the glass ruined everything. So I looked at it for the last four years, and finally had enough. The body was repainted along with the interior, the hood lost it's carbon-fiber decal, and the gold window trim went bye-bye. A matching Purple Pearl nail polish was laid down (I had to match the engine compartment, I wasn't messing with that beautiful engine compartment), with a fade to a Crimson Pearl nail polish on the bottom. The interior was re-painted in the original colors, but it was masked off and painted this time around (No brush painting of the seats, I've come so far!), coming out much better. Here's the completed results, the sunlight pics are kid of strange, I kept getting reflections from my "road" all over the body. The pics in my little photo booth came out much, much better, they're at the end! -
