Last week was perfect weather for cross-country. This week the weather was, well, imperfect. It poured and poured rain. It rained about as hard as I've seen it rain in 15 years.
I tried to take pictures of the first men's race. The rain was coming in sheets, sideways. I couldn't keep the umbrella in place while I took pictures. I did the "discretion is the better part of valor" thing and put my valuable camera away so it could live to shoot another day.
It poured rain for both men's races, and I scooted, cameraless, from place to place and cheered.
The rain mitigated a bit for the women's race, and I could take some pictures. You will see the effects of drops of water on the lens, though: many pictures have blurry spots where a rain drop was on the lens.
I also took pictures inside, after the event, but the lens was fogged from all the humidity.
