I was the field-events announcer for the Heps, which was pretty much a full-time task. Charlene Komosinski, Julie's mom, helped me all of both days.

I carried my camera around, and if I had a moment, took pictures of the crowd, alumnae and alumni, families, and friends. I only took a few action pictures because I had to concentrate on my announcing.

I finally got my schedule to allow me to take some pictures! And I did take pictures. I got a new camera last month that will take 8--count 'em--8 pictures PER SECOND. That means two things: (1) lots of nice action shots, and (2) over 800 pictures to edit.

Use the slide show function in the upper right corner of the album to get a nice view.

When I started this picture taking in 2000, I would take less than 100 pictures per meet.

I only took a few pictures at the Heps, and those were with my second-string camera. Dana and I were the announcers for the event, and those jobs took up all of our time. I took mostly still pictures because those came out best with the small camera.
