Another year gone, and my 4 models are certainly a varied bunch! The Falcon is a cool high school car from the late 60s, the Aston Martin and Audi are too much for any high school kid I've known, and the Unimog, well that's just crazy! But I had a blast doing all of them, hopefully I can do 4 more in 2012.

Not a very productive year for model building! Gotta do more for 2008!

This is the Trumpeter kit, I hear so much negative about this kit as I did with their Falcon but when I built the Falcon, I didn't see any real problems. Let's see if this kit is as bad as everyone says.

This kit I got from Europe many years ago, it's 1/24th, by Lassen Project, and it's quite nicely detailed! I made much wider rims and cut the centers out of some toy tires for the look I wanted, so here it is!

Our club's annual contest for 2011 is "Out of Box" that means only parts that came in the kit can be used, other than paint and glue. I chose this because it's a pretty detailed kit and I wouldn't really add anything other than flocking and seat belts, IF I could, but I can't! So let's see how it turns out, right "Out of the Box".

I want to make working doors for this one, it's such a beautiful car that I don't want to modify it, so opening the doors and adding extra detail is my plan, and Nero over Crema is my color choice. Let's see how this goes:

I have this "vision" of an all black convert heavily modified, huge Ford engine, and , yeah, let's see what I can do!

Well, I decided to chop up Revell's 32 3-window and make a pickup cab. Not sure what I'll do with it, but it's fun chopping up styrene!

This will be for the Spotlight Board's "B" body build. Let's see how it turns out, of course it'll have a HEMI.

I built this '55 for a theme build, '60's style Gasser!! I used a combo of the '56 Del Rey and the old AMT '55 Sedan body, some other bits and pieces, scratchbuilding and even aftermarket goodies! Enjoy the Orange 409!

This is the Revell kit that I made totally stock, well a bit bigger tires and a big 4 barrel, not to mention a couple of bigger pipes out back!

I cut the roof off Revell's '55 hdtp and their '56 Del Rey to make this body style. I want to do a mild custom, let's see what happens!

59 Chev "longroof"

Well, let's see what I can do to this one, it's a great Revell kit, but I don't want it from the box, I'll kit-bash and scratch-build things to get it to be what I'm dreamin up.

I picked up this resin wagon body from Jimmy Flintstone in person in Milwaukee, Let's see what I can do with it.

The 612 is a looooong car, styling suffers because of that. I wanted to try making a shorter 2 seat version. Let's see how it turns out.

This was a mint in box original JoHan kit that I started some time ago then just decided to try and finish it up over the Christmas holidaze, so heeeeeere we go...

I got a body, hood, front and rear chrome, that's it, no chassis or glass or interior, so I decided to scratchbuild and kitbash that stuff in the pro-touring style. Let's see how it turns out!

I thought I'd kit bash the '60 Starliner kit with the more simplified '63 Galaxie. Let's see how it turns out.....

This is the new Revell kit

This is a resin chopped body with mostly scratchbuilt interior, floor pan, chassis, underhood. It is fully modern but still has a Phlathead even though it's fuel injected, the modern way!!

This is a one piece resin from Perry's! Everything is kit bashed or scratchbuilt!

This was an R&R hartop resin. The roof was way out of square, so......off with it!! Lindberg's '53 Ford donated most of it's parts like chassis, underhood, windshield frame, uptop, etc......all modified of course!!!

This is an old build of the Thunderbolt kit. I built it as a street car, sort of a Thunderbolt clone, street legal of course!

This is an old build I did when Revell first introduced this great kit many years ago!! It's not one of my best, but it's still cool, done up in the street cruiser style from the muscle car era!

This is the Polar Lights black kit that I detailed. I didn't paint the body, I did paint the interior, chassis, engine, underhood, suspension etc. and I think it makes a nice factory stock display piece!

I wanted a true exotic with all American muscle, a Ferrari fighter with a Chev V8!

This is the Fujimi, no-glue kit, pretty bad but I've made it into a glue kit! House of Kolors "Italian Red" lacquer, black and ivory interior.

This is an old incomplete Magnum kit I got for free! I tried to make a show car without spending much on aftermarket stuff. I also had an F50 kit and a partial Testarossa kit that I got for next to nothing, both these kits gave up a few parts! Most everything else was scratched from stuff on hand!

Fujimi kit, House of Kolors "Tangelo Pearl" lacquer, a few extra details in the interior and engine.

This is one of Ed Fluck's super clean castings! I want to make a full detail showroom stock, 6 cyl. Falcon! Let's hope I can do it, there's never been much detail available for these early kits!

This is just another old glue bomb that I rescued. It was made into a hardtop, so I added "B" pillars, got a Modelhaus '60 front, used the re-release Ranchero tail lights and rear bumper, added Brembo disc brakes and 18" wheels and tires, slightly lowered. Paint is Krylon rattle can, built in 1998!

Here's an oldie that had the roof broken off, so I chopped it!! Made it into a quick build rat rod!

Another very old build. When the kit first came out, I built it right out of the box. Wanted more of a utility version, so no whitewalls, and I dechromed the tail lights, and made an inside spare tire mount. Drilled out a rim for the spare, with no lug nuts!!

I wanted to build this into a stock work horse type Land Rover. I tried to super detail the lump under the hood as well. I put the extra lights where the mirrors are supposed to go and the mirrors where I think they belong. Made a nice emblem for the back and some Panama plates!

For our annual contest the theme was OUT OF BOX, so only parts from the kit could be used. This brought out a bunch of really old builds from back in the day, when we really did build out of box. Some were pretty low quality, but still exciting to see and brought back great memories of when we built 'em for fun, not for show!

Or should it call called "Show and Tell", heehee
