This challenge will focus on consistency and retaining as much length as possible for the year. It starts on January 1, 2005 and ends on December 31, 2005.
This album will show my progress for the year 2005.
This is the length that will begin this challenge. I made a t-shirt that has 1 inch increments on it to help me better keep up with how much my hair has grown.
I agree -- the T-shirt is an excellent idea. Perhaps you could sell the template with instructions if you don't have time to make T-shirts for all of us!! :) --- I have considered that! I may just put them up for sale again in the future!

dreamgurl has a point. i'm over here in germany and i don't even know wut to look for to make my own shirt. you know as always i love ur hair. u've been such an inspiration to me. keep up the good work and u have great hair progress. --- Thanks!! :)
Excellent job DSD, are you in transition and how do you lay down your new growth to make it so slick for your ponytails? I'm sorry if you have written this somewhere else, I must have overlooked.
By the way, hair looking great!! What an inspiration!
Geminibabi --- Thanks!!
I am not in transition but I do stretch my relaxers 3-4 months.
The key to getting the newgrowth to lay down is frequent washes to help keep it soft and manageable. It is also important to do it while very wet and tie a wrap around your head after you get it slicked back. Let it dry overnight and in the morning no one will know how long long it's been since you last relaxed.
I'm with dreamgurl, you can sell those bad boys. Would the measurements be the same regardless of height, though? --- Ya'll are too funny!!
Yes it would be the same. The size of the shirt may not be. I am wearing a small. The inches on the shirt are precise and would remain the same regardless of the person wearing it. You could probably make yourself one!!
hey i need a shirt like that! i might have to make me one! u r so creative DSD! btw, your hair has made some awesome progress since the beginning of your journey! --- thanks!! :) :)
It's easy. I just made up the template on microsoft word and printed it on an iron on t-shirt transfer. I ironed it on my shirt and viola!!

Girl,
There you go with your extraorganized self. LOL. I'm sitting here wondering how I can do a shirt like that for myself. You better make some more and sell them on the LHCF...I'm sure you will make a profit, but you will have to just give me one, for coming up with the idea of you selling them on the board. Hee Hee. The shirt was an excellent idea. Kudos! --- You are too funny girl!!

Don't fret. In a little while you will have enough length to wear one exactly like this one.
