Very clean and I like the water space at the right.

    -----
Do you now agree that it was better to remove the trainer?

    d
    ---
Never really disagreed and was more concerned about leaving the space at right than removing the people but results very good.

Funny thing is that I "assumed" visually that the rider was actually standing in about 6 inches of water when I first saw this.

It seems like this and several dolphins were a little dark. Is there a setting that might make things lighter besides editing?

    ----
No, this is one of the big problems I consistently have taking pics out here in california. mid day sun, especially since we never ever have clouds in summer, really makes for crappy pics. portrait photographers will use a reflector or fill flash to bring out highlights and shadows, but at this distance... you iz screwed.

With the dolphins, the way the roof is designed, the most prominant light source is behind the stage, made for too much backlighting.

    -----

How about EV setting. I have not really tried it for a specific picture but "they" say that that is what it is for - to lighten the subject when the background is too bright.
It looks like the Dolphins would have worked - not sure about the skier.

It looks like he needs help. he doesn't seem to have a rope and is going backwards.

    ----
a part of the show is showing "what not to do" if you are learning to ski.
