Hi bob, this blue looks very close to the original ford engine blue, is it a custom mix or did you raid the ford factory?

What color is that?? I like that shade.

Thanks Floyd! That is Dark Garnet Red by Dupli Color. I have stripped it though since the color was too dark for my taste to put decals over. It's going to be Avignon Blue now. -Bob Black

A/FX huh? Well,I dunno.I have 3 of these,1 MIB & 2 builders.I plan to build one as a "period correct" drag car but there is no way I could bring myself to cut/modify the body.First because I've never actually seen (photo or in person) a '65 Fairlane A/FX and second, these annuals are becoming too valuable. When I build these old annuals,I don't do anything that can't be "undone".Even the paint & glue can be easily removed.Besides,I may want to build it a different way later...LOL

While I do appreciate your comment, I don't care what the value is on this. I have unbuilt kits worth $250 a peice and beleive me....they are getting built! All this hooplah over cutting this car is funny to me too! Maybe I should stretch the nose and put it on a slot car chassis? LOL If you are building old kits, I would personally love to see what you have done! trakburner@yahoo.com *I'm all about putting this stuff to use* -Bob Black
