2011
Sooooo.... over the past 2 years I have learned to love my hair more and to better take care of it. The unfortunate thing is although my hair has grown some and is in a much better statt than when I began, I still am not retaining much length. It seems that every time I handle my hair I am left with a palm full of little "c" curls. With this consistent breakage it is obvious that what I have been doing is NOT working.

I can't say that I have a full plan, but I plan to start the year by forcing myself into full protective styles. When I say "full" I am speaking of styles that will last 2 weeks or more and completely eliminate me having to handle it (i.e. cornrows, interlocks, sew ins etc). Now when my hair is not in a PS I am not completely sure what I can do as far as conditioning, handling methods that will assist in "c" curl breakage. Even after reading through some blogs and websites and am still not sure that I understand how to identify and achieve moisture protein balance. ANY and ALL suggestions and feedback is requested and welcome!

my creations>> shop NOW @ www.dramakween.etsy.com

I realize that I have somewhat of an addictive personality. I have an obsession for hair, I am a product junkie and I have some TRUE confessions of a shop-a-holic.

SOOOO, to keep myself busy and to try and curb my appetite to shop I have began to make some jewelry. I have gotten many compliments on the things that I have made and thought that I would test the waters here in Fotki land for a show of interest in my creations.

Most items are available, some are limited, and others can be recreated and customized. I crave your opinions and if you see something you would like to have please dont hesitate. LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK!!

hair stuff

Products that are currently in the rotation

HH body envy gel-- Love this but it has been discontinued

HH hello hydration conditioner-- Love this for co washing. My hair feel so soft after using this.

V05-- I love to use this for cowashing especially when rinsing henna or amla because it is so light. I am finding it harder to locate the calming camomile scent that I love so much, so it may be time to find a new scent.

Cantu shea butter leave-in -- I liked this for bunning, never used to really achieve any other style, but my hair felt moisturized after using. On the other hand I have gotten away from using it so much I think because of the build up..... may need to revisit soon just to see if I still like

Qp mango butter-- I was liking this for bunning and such, I love anything mango but I have not re-purchased.....

Henna--- what can I say, LUV THE STUFF. I think that my hair has gotten stronger with use and I love the color.

Amla-- Could this be my henna substitute? Don't get me wrong, henna is GREAT, but I notice my hair behaving very well after the use of this and the application is less time consuming because there is not worries avout color transfer, not to mention this makes a great facial. My skin has really cleared up after on a few amla masks.
