These were taken at Death Valley National Park during a short (5-hour) visit.

I didn't fall in love with Death Valley; I found it too lifeless, I guess. I didn't realize before this that I needed to see a little wildlife, perhaps a bit of green.

Most of these were taken at Zabriskie Point, a place close to the road which was in fact quite beautiful.

Taken on the north shore of Lake Superior, in a few state parks in Minnesota. Some of these were taken at night, you can probably guess which ones :)

I went up north on a spur-of-the-moment trip, hoping to take some stellar night pictures (get it?). It really didn't work out that way (I got a few but nothing "stellar"), but I took a few to fall back upon.

My son Matt and I climbed behind Minnehaha falls today, it's beautiful. The photos don't really do it justice.

I spent a few days in northern Minnesota and took these photos.
