Sucker Brook Bay, Pelcher Pond, Shallow Lake
Cool shot.  If I'm correct, this is taken from over the eastern end of Shallow Lake, looking northeast. So the water in the bottom left corner is Shallow, just above that is Pelcher Pond, the small pond on the left edge would be Cranberry Pond (one of the many many ponds by that name), and then the significant body of water in the middle is Raquette Lake (Sucker Brook Bay being the part closest to the camera).  I've seen all of this from the ground, but this gives a totally different perspective.

    Raquette Lake & 8th lake
This is the end (NE) of Eighth Lake, with Raquette Lake in the distance. Lovely shots!

This must be with a polarizing filter, right? What kind of digital camera are you using?
    - -
digital red filter, actually (Photoshop b/w cast in dark red spectrum). No polarizer on original, but split nd grad filter to deal with the dynamic range.

equipment's listed in journal entry. nikon d70 in this case, 18-70 dx lens @24mm, f11, 1/500, iso 200. cropped.
