You did a very good job on these. One thing I did/do to my hair now is tie it up at night. This keeps it from looking old too quick.
Another trick is to lightly spritz the hair then tie it down until you have to leave the house..

thanks for your advice. i tie up my twists at night... but before i put some oil on the ends, i mist them with water or aloe vera gel and finally i braid them in two big french braids. each morning i mist the twists with water and ..... go to work :s
