Cars & Coffee 7/3/10

On a day that the local Ferrari dealer finally decided to bring the new 458 Italia, it's kind of indicative of this show that it didn't even draw the largest crowd. No, that honor went to the Ford Start Concept that has only been seen publicly in Beijing until now. And if this funky little runabout isn't your cup of tea, then perhaps the Porsche Speedster and Alfa Romeo Giulietta Zagato on either side of it were more your style. No? Then how about one of the hundreds of other special vehicles on hand? There were a lot of really nice motorcycles today: Ducati brought the only 1198S Corse in the country - No. 001, along with a Hypomotard. Among the other highlights in the bike class were a beautiful Honda Monkey, a Yamaha R1 and a wicked skull chopper too for the two-wheel enthusiasts.

Those who prefer four contact patches might have liked the Viper ACR, Roush 627R Mustang, Altered Nomad dragster, purple GT-R, Suzuki Cappuccino, one of the two GT3 RS Porsches, Jowett Javelin, new Tesla 2.5 Roadster, "Old Gold" '67 Cadillac, one of the two Ferrari Daytonas, Dino, Scud, 430, 360 or Maranellos, the VTEC Mini, Synergy Green Camaro, or one of the hundreds of other great cars that showed up today to help America celebrate its birthday.

Have a happy and safe 4th of July weekend everybody!
