The 2007 run was from San Juan Capistrano to the Thornton Winery. For 2008 we took 76 instead and looped around the mountain before heading back to the new shop in Oceanside.
The drive along Ortega to the Thornton Winery was slightly marred by construction early on, but once we got through it the 1948 Ferrari 166 SC I was riding in turned out to be a once-in-a-lifetime thrill. And then I got into the 1954 375 MM and had a twice-in-a-lifetime day.

Great lunch at the winery and a quick visit to one of Shaughnessy's properties. Felt like I was working at the Ferrari factory in the early '60s. Unbelievable assortment of parts and partially assembled exotics everywhere you looked.
