Tim Boyd On-Line How-To #3 and Retro Kit Review: Building JoHan's '71 Mustang Funny Car

For this On-Line How-To, I complete a JoHan Mustang Funny Car that I started building around 1974 or 1975. The first step was to finish the partially-completed "psychedelic paisley" paint scheme, followed by a thorough build of the remainder of the kit in box stock form.

Here's another view - if you look closely, you can see some differences in the color of some of the scallops, and the exact style and spacing of the scallops varies a bit from the roof and left side. But most people wouldn't notice it unless I pointed it out. With a few coats of Tamiya Pearl Clear and Testors Wet Look Clear, I reasoned, it would become even less obvious as the project reached completion.
